Dr. Emily Hamilton (she/her) is a Rochester Hills, Michigan native who graduated first from Grand Valley State University with her bachelor's, and then from University of Wisconsin - Madison's vet school in 2024. In between schools, she worked for a year at a wildlife hospital in Florida that helped to cement interest in working with exotic species. She focused on exotics medicine during her time in vet school, taking extra classes in zoo and companion exotic medicine, as well as performing research with chinchillas. During her clinical year, she spent months in various exotics spaces, such as zoos, an aquarium, and UW's excellent exotics department. She is so excited to be moving back to her home turf of southeastern Michigan and starting clinical practice at Parkway! More personally, Dr. Hamilton's family all lives in the Metro Detroit area, her boyfriend is finishing his PhD at Indiana University, and she is looking forward to finally adding a feline friend to her own household upon moving to Clinton Township. In her spare time, Dr. Hamilton is passionate about Lord of the Rings and other such nerdy media, as well as the occasional round of archery and trying new foods. Let her know if you have any good restaurant recommendations in the Clinton Township area, or if you have any particular favorite recipes to share!"
